Smoky

I couldn’t resist purchasing the new Urban Decay Smoky Eye Palette at Sephora.  A San Diego trip is just around the corner, so what better way to dress up for a night on the town than with this smokey-themed palette?  Check out the review and photos below!

If you love smokey looks, this is worth a pick-up.  Of the twelve shades, a few were sheer  —  which is great to build your smokey opacity to your liking.  The palette features a beautiful shimmery highlight (appropriately named “High”), five shimmers,  one metallic, and five mattes.

(Note:  I adjusted some color properties to best match the shades)  I found this collection contains a variety of uses:  highlighting (“High”,  “Dirtysweet”),  accents for a flash of spontaneity (Armor), basics, and crease shades.  Some shadows may require wet application, which is mentioned in the handy step-by-step instruction included with the palette.  This is a helpful guide if you’re a first-timer with smoky looks.
